Here are some key points explaining why the Waismann Method Rapid Detoxification Program stands out from the rest:
Initial Consultation and Assessment
Every patient begins their journey with an in-depth consultation and assessment. This initial step allows our medical team to understand the patient’s specific needs, medical history, and any underlying conditions that need to be addressed during detoxification. An initial phone consultation with our world-renowned Medical Director determines candidacy, the length of the inpatient stay, and the best treatment approach based on the individual’s health needs.
Personalized Detox Plan
Based on the initial assessment, a personalized detox plan is created. This plan outlines the detox process, including the medications and protocols that will be used to ensure the most effective and comfortable experience possible. If detox under sedation is the chosen path, the patient will be admitted the day before the procedure to a private room in a full-service accredited hospital, where they will receive medications to prevent withdrawal.
Medical Supervision and Sedation
During the detoxification process, patients are under continuous medical supervision. Sedation is carefully administered to minimize discomfort and ensure safety. Our highly experienced medical team monitors patients closely, making any necessary adjustments to the treatment plan. On the second day, the patient is treated in their ICU private room where we detox them from all opioids, block the receptors to eliminate physical cravings, and speed the nervous system’s regular function to accelerate recovery.
Post-Detox Care and Support
Detoxification is just the first step in the recovery journey. After the detox process, patients receive ongoing care and support to help them adjust to their new opioid-free state. This includes medical follow-ups, emotional support, and guidance on the next steps in their recovery journey. On the third day, most patients are offered a Vivitrol shot (a non-addictive blocker) included in the cost. They are then transferred to our exclusive retreat for a few days, where they receive physical and emotional support around the clock.
Supportive medications are provided to make the adjustment process more comfortable, alongside IV therapy and consultations with our expert therapist, David B. Livingston. This comprehensive care ensures that patients have the best possible foundation for lasting recovery.
